Phoenix oyster mushrooms, like other oyster mushroom varieties, have specific temperature requirements for incubation and fruiting. Here are general guidelines for the incubation and fruiting temperatures forPhoenix oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus pulmonarius):
- Incubation Temperature: During the incubation phase, which is the initial colonization of the substrate by mycelium,Phoenix oyster mushrooms typically prefer a temperature range of 75°F to 85°F (24°C to 27°C). Maintaining a consistent and suitable temperature within this range promotes the rapid growth and colonization of the substrate by the mushroom mycelium.
- Fruiting Time & Temperature: Once the substrate is fully colonized, the fruiting phase begins. For Phoenix oyster mushrooms, the fruiting temperature range is usually around 65°F to 75°F (13°C to 24°C). This is the temperature range that encourages the development of mushroom fruiting bodies.

Humidity Levels:
- Incubation Stage: Maintain a high relative humidity (RH) of around 90% during the incubation stage to create a favorable environment for mycelial growth.
- Fruiting Stage: Maintain a slightly lower relative humidity, typically between 85% and 93%, during the fruiting stage. This helps promote the formation of mushroom caps and the release of spores.
Pinning time is 4-10 days and fruiting time is 12 - 18 days. -
