Golden oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus citrinopileatus) are a variety of oyster mushrooms that are known for their vibrant yellow or golden color. The optimal incubation and fruiting temperatures for golden oyster mushrooms may vary slightly, but generally, they thrive in the following temperature ranges:
- Incubation Temperature: During the incubation phase, which is the initial period when mycelium colonizes the substrate, the temperature range is typically between 85-95° F. It's important to maintain a consistent temperature within this range to encourage the rapid growth of mycelium.
- Fruiting Temperature: Once the substrate is fully colonized, the fruiting phase begins. For golden oyster mushrooms, the fruiting temperature range is around 75-85° F. However, they can tolerate a slightly wider range, and some variations might do well in temperatures outside this range.
-
Humidity Levels:
- Incubation Stage: Maintain a high relative humidity (RH) of around 90% during the incubation stage to create a favorable environment for mycelial growth.
- Fruiting Stage: Maintain a slightly lower relative humidity, typically between 85% and 93%, during the fruiting stage. This helps promote the formation of mushroom caps and the release of spores.
Pinning Time: 4-10 Days / Total Fruiting Time: 14-18 Days
